What is Holistic Homoeopathy?

Filed under: Holistic Homeopathy,What Is It? — Tags: — Shoshana Savyon @ 8:36 am

Homoeopathy was developed in the early 1800’s by the German physician Samuel Hahnemann. Disaffected by conventional medicines, cures that were often as lethal as the disease process, Dr. Hahnemann searched for an application of medicine that was capable of “complete and gentle cure”. His researches lead to his development of homoeopathic potentized remedies and the homoeopathic system of medicine, based on several ‘Laws’.

  • The Law of Similars – Similia Similibus Curentur – Let Like be Treated by Like – refers to the basic idea that a substance capable of producing the exact disease symptoms in a healthy person will alleviate those same symptoms in an ill person. By creating a drug induced illness in the person that is slightly higher in strength than the ‘real’ disease, the body’s defense against that disease is increased to fight the drug disease. When the drug is removed, the similar ‘real’ disease will be taken away as well.
  • The Law of Simplex -A single, well-selected remedy and dosage should be used at a time and the results carefully studied before determining to give a different remedy.
  • The Law of Minimum – The properly selected remedy should be given in the lowest dosage and the least number of doses possible.
  • The Potentiated Dose – Remedies are prepared by serial dilutions and successions (forceful shakings) which release the potency of the remedy, thereby enhancing its therapeutic effect, while nullifying its toxicity.
  • Proven Remedies – Remedies are first “proved” by rigorous clinical trials, testing their effects on healthy subjects to determine the exact action of the drug.
  • Herring’s Indicators of Cure states that a real cure occurs in s specific order which is: from within to without, from the most important to least important organs, from above to below (head to feet), from the most recent symptoms to the most remote. The direction of cure flows downward from the brain through the vital organs.
  • Pro-life intervention – Dr. Samuel Hahnemann states, “Homoeopathy avoids anything that is even the slightest bit debilitating. Homoeopathy avoids as much as possible every arousal of pain because pain also robs the vitality”.

Dr. Hahnemann developed Homoeopathic treatment as a system of health care including components other than just remedies. Unfortunately, for many years Homoeopathy concentrated on providing only the remedy portion of the full Homoeopathic System. Holistic Homoeopathy practitioners utilize all of the methods of health care included in Homoeopathy by its founder, Dr. Hahnemann. Based on individual assessment, this could include:

  • Counseling – on lifestyle, and life challenges, relationships, spiritual issues and unhealthful mental habits.
  • Treatment of the Human Energy Field – which Dr. Hahnemann calls, “A wonderful priceless gift of G-d”. This treatment can also include use of Acupressure/Massage and Magnet Therapy.
  • Health Development Counseling – including, diet, exercise, recreation/stress reduction, and environmental issues.

All Holistic Homoeopathic services are determined on individualized assessment.

We are proud to provide full Holistic Homeopathy at Heliotrope.

    Shalom,

As a believer and student of Homeopathy – I am looking for a Homeopathically minded dentist (gum specialist) who will only do the bare necessary; who understands that saving a tooth at the expense of the entire system, is not a wise decision, and also who is very gentle and kind. Obviously, I’m not asking for much :-) .
If you can recommend someone, it will be most appreciated.
    Thanks
    Hannah

  • Hannah, I like your thinking on dentists! I will reply to you at your personal email with some ideas.
    All the best, Shoshana
